Final Fantasy VII returning to PC?

by on Jun.25, 2012, under News

The now removed site FinalFantasyVIIPC.com has leaked plans for an updated re-release of Final Fantasy VII for PC.

The Square Enix owned domain inadvertently revealed a product description suggesting a Steam release of the RPG classic with new online features, 36 unlockable Steam achievements, Cloud saves, a character booster and a digital download price point of £7.99 / €9.99.

Exciting news! Here’s hoping an official announcement is soon to follow.

Neo Geo programmer’s guide leaked to the public

by on Jul.28, 2011, under News

The fine folks over at neo-geo.com have obtained a copy of the Neo Geo programmer’s guide and content guidelines.

The 220 page pdf file is a veritable holy grail of technical information about the system, but it also provides insight into how long a Neo Geo title should take to produce (around 14 months), SNK’s content guidelines (no spurting blood, alcohol or cigarettes, religious symbols, etc.) and research about how long a credit should last a player (2.5 to 3.5 minutes), for instance.
